Construction Junction (CJ) is a nonprofit building material reuse retailer located in a 100,000 square foot warehouse in the East End of Pittsburgh. In operation since 1999, the organization has an operating budget of 2.4 million dollars. In addition to the traditional retail/warehouse/deconstruction/pick up operations, we have numerous partnership and programs to leverage the building materials we divert form landfill including; job training with Goodwill Industries, collaborative work with architecture students in the Urban Design Build Studio program at Carnegie Mellon University (Project RE_), assistance with inventory and donor management through our Reuse Retail software program and extensive work with other Pittsburgh environmental and social service nonprofits.
